KHARLOS LANGMAN - Agribusiness Consultant

BIOGRAPHY

Baker & Associates have recently appointed a new dairy consultant to service the Wairarapa and Tararua region.

Kharlos Langman was brought up in North Otago & attended Waitaki Boys High School. His interest in dairy farming developed while at secondary school working as a relief milker on various dairy farms around the district including the large scale Dairy Holdings farms on the Waitaki Plains.

This introduction to dairy farming was the spur to a tertiary education at Lincoln University. The end result was a Bachelor of Commerce & Management, with a focus on agribusiness & international trade.

After graduation in 2009, Kharlos moved to Auckland taking a challenging role as a marketing coordinator  for Harrier Exports Ltd.  This position opened his eyes to global business and the way in which New Zealand beef and lamb is marketed & distributed around the globe.

When the opportunity presented itself to re-enter the dairy industry he seized the offer from Baker and Associates. This brings the new challenge of gathering the technical knowledge and understanding of dairy farming in the lower North Island. He relishes the opportunity to work alongside dairy farmers who have a passion to grow their business.

Kharlos and his partner Teresa are finding their feet in the Masterton community with Kharlos immediately gaining a position in the senior Gladstone rugby club. Other recreational interests including squash, tennis, hunting and tramping.
