Graduate Opportunity – Trainee Dairy Advisor

BakerAg is looking for a graduate with a passion for the dairy industry to join our team as a Trainee Dairy Advisor in January 2027.

This is a full-time development role designed to provide a pathway to becoming a BakerAg Dairy Advisor within two years.

You’ll start with training in our Masterton office before moving to our Feilding team, expected within six months. From the outset, you’ll be involved in real consultancy work, including BakerAg’s delivery of a Farm Efficiency Advice Project.

The role will involve farm data analysis, FARMAX modelling, Dairy System Monitoring (DSM), farmer communication and on-farm meetings. Over time, you’ll develop broader advisory skills across farm systems, animal and pasture performance, financial and business planning, people management and environmental management.

We’re looking for someone with a relevant tertiary degree, strong analytical skills, an eye for detail and the ability to build good working relationships with farmers, colleagues and other rural professionals.

Experience with FARMAX Dairy Pro would be an advantage but is not essential.

Starting salary: From $60,000 p.a., depending on skills and experience.
