Having grown up and worked within the dairy industry, Matt brings a practical understanding of farming businesses combined with strong expertise in farm performance analysis, benchmarking and strategy. Prior to joining BakerAg, Matt spent thirteen years with DairyNZ as a Senior Economist, where he specialised in farm and industry benchmarking, financial forecasting, and environmental economic analysis.

More recently, Matt worked as a Consultant with AbacusBio, providing commercial and strategic consulting services across the agricultural sector. Matt is New Zealand's representative on IFCN (International Farm Comparison Network), contributing to global dairy benchmarking and industry analysis.

Matt works alongside farming businesses and agribusiness organisations throughout the lower North Island to improve productivity, profitability and enhance decision making through robust analysis, strategic planning and a strong understanding of the factors influencing farm performance.
